Overview
The wartime supply line from Lashio in Burma to Kunming, rushed to completion in 1938 by some 200,000 laborers after Japan cut the coasts of China. Truckers died on switchbacks nicknamed the 24 zigs, and the route fed the Flying Tigers era in China.
