Overview
A UN ESCAP project linking existing highways across 32 Asian countries under common route numbers, formalised by an intergovernmental agreement in force from 2005. Route AH1 runs from Tokyo through China, Southeast Asia, India and Iran to the border of Turkey and Bulgaria.
